Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026 · Northline Studio, St. Petersburg, FL
By engaging Northline Studio for web design or maintenance services — including via our online checkout — you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. What we provide
Northline Studio ("we", "us", "our") provides a managed website subscription to you ("you", "your"). For one monthly fee we design and build your website, then host, maintain, secure, back up and update it for as long as your subscription is active. There is no separate build fee and no deposit. This is a service subscription, not a one-time purchase of software.
2. Plans and pricing
We offer a single plan covering a custom one-page website, currently $129.99/month. That is an introductory launch rate; our standard rate is $200/month. If you subscribe at the launch rate it remains $129.99/month for as long as your subscription stays active — a later increase to the standard rate does not apply to you. Full inclusions are listed on our pricing page and form part of these terms. Prices are in US dollars and billed monthly in advance via Shopify. Websites larger than one page are quoted separately and in writing before any payment is taken.
3. Minimum term and cancellation
All plans carry a minimum term of six (6) monthly billing cycles, beginning on your first payment. This minimum exists because we complete the full website build up front at no charge and recover that cost across the term. If you cancel before completing six cycles, the remaining cycles of the minimum term become immediately due. After six cycles your subscription continues month-to-month and you may cancel at any time by giving 30 days' written notice by email before your next billing date. We do not require a reason and will not attempt to retain you by delaying cancellation.
4. The 48-hour timeline
We aim to publish your site within 48 hours. That period begins when your intake form is submitted complete — not when you pay — because we cannot begin work without your business information. This timeline is a target made in good faith and depends on your responsiveness; it is not a guarantee, and delay alone does not create a right to a refund. If we expect to miss it we will tell you before the deadline passes.
5. Revisions before launch
You review your site before it is published. The plan includes two revision rounds during the initial build. A revision round is one consolidated set of changes to the site we have built, not a redesign or a change of scope. If after both rounds you are still not satisfied and the site has not gone live, you may cancel for a full refund of your first payment under our Refund Policy.
6. Edits after launch
Once live, your plan includes two edit requests per month. An edit request is a change to existing content or layout that takes us up to 30 minutes — for example updated text, a replaced photo, changed hours, or a new team member. Adding pages, adding features, integrating a new third-party service, or redesigning the site are not edit requests; these are quoted separately in writing, and we will tell you before doing any such work. Unused edit requests do not roll over.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to complete the intake form and to provide content (text, images, logo, brand assets) needed to build and maintain your site. Delays caused by missing information will extend timelines. You confirm that any content you provide is yours to use and does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, and you agree not to use your site for unlawful purposes. You are responsible for the accuracy of business information published on your site, including prices, hours and licensing claims.
8. Ownership
Your domain name is registered in your name and is yours permanently, whether or not you remain a subscriber. All content you supply — text, photos, logo, brand assets — remains yours at all times. The website itself, including its underlying code, templates and components, remains the property of Northline Studio and is licensed to you for use while your subscription is active. Northline Studio may reference completed work in its portfolio and marketing. Third-party assets (fonts, stock imagery, frameworks) remain subject to their own licences.
9. What happens if you cancel
When your subscription ends, your website is taken offline and the licence to use it terminates. Your domain remains yours and we will assist you in transferring it at no charge. On written request within 30 days of cancellation we will provide a one-time export of your content — text and images — at no charge. We do not transfer the site's source code, as it is built on our proprietary component system and licensed rather than sold.
10. Hosting, uptime and third parties
Your site is hosted on infrastructure operated by third parties (including Vercel and Supabase). We monitor availability and address outages promptly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for outages, data loss or degradation caused by hosting providers, domain registrars, DNS providers, payment processors or other third-party services outside our control.
11. Payment and failed charges
Payments are processed by Shopify; we do not store or have access to your card details. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. If a payment fails we will attempt to contact you and retry. If payment remains outstanding after 14 days we may suspend your site until the balance is settled; suspension does not pause or extend your minimum term.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northline Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of or inability to use your website or our services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the total amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your subscription with written notice if you fail to pay, breach these terms, or use your site for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes. Where we terminate for reasons other than your breach, we will refund any unused portion of the current billing month and waive the remainder of any minimum term.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Pinellas County, Florida.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers by email of any material change at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance. The version in force when you subscribed governs your current minimum term.
